  • The Contractor shall assist with the technical resolution of structural/seismic issues or problems provided by installations or MAJCOMs.
  • The Contractor shall provide technical expertise for criteria development and review of engineering documents including UFCs, UFGS, and Air Force Instructions, Pamphlets and Handbooks.
  • The Contractor shall assist with reviews of projects to include building and site work for renovations and new facilities or infrastructure with structural issues.
  • The Contractor shall consolidate, track and respond to comments received from other organizations.

Estimated tasks include:

  • Assisting with 40-60 structural/seismic issues annually; reviewing 2040 engineering documents annually; reviewing 15-25 structural engineering projects annually; accomplishing one (1) to three (3) site visits annually; and consolidating, documenting, and tracking 20-30 requests in CE DASH annually.


  • Educational Level:  Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering
  • Years of Experience:  10 years in structural evaluation and engineering 
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Provide demonstrated performance in the following areas:

1) Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the area of structural design and seismic structural work

2) Experience with MS Office Computer software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

3) Demonstrated experience in evaluating damage to concrete structures, providing designs and specifications for the rehabilitation of damaged concrete structures and slabs-on-ground.

4) Demonstrated experience with evaluating seismic risks to existing facilities, and providing designs for the seismic rehabilitation of structures.

5) Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing criteria and specifications related to all aspects of structural design.

6) Demonstrated experience evaluating complex structural engineering problems and developing solutions to address issues to meet code and agency requirements.

7) Demonstrated experience with design of structural foundations.


Certifications:  Licensed Professional Engineer
